Aquatics Spring Program Guide: March - May 2010
 

Pools will be closed on County Holidays except Kawamoto, Kona Aquatic Center & Pāhoa.
These pools will operate on a weekend schedule on these days:

ADULT CLASSES

Registration for adult classes will be held on the first day of the month or the quarter* that the class is held. Fees for the adult classes are $15.00 a month or $45.00 a quarter.

Water Exercise requires persons to enter and exit the pool, maintain balance within the water, listen to, understand and follow instructions, take steps in the water, jump, jog, move arms, stretch, exert moderate to heavy physical effort.

*Quarters are: March-May, June-Aug, Sept-Nov, Dec-Feb

KEIKI AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Registration for the After School Programs begins on March 1 and is ongoing until classes are filled. Call or drop by the pool. Fees are $10.00 per class, per child.

Prerequisites:
Level 4 – Must be able to swim 20 yds front crawl, elementary backstroke, scissor kick, butterfly kick 10 yds tread water and dive in deep.
Level 3 – Must be able to swim 10 yds front crawl, elementary backstroke and tread water.
Level 2 – Must be 5 yrs. old and comfortable going under the water.
Basic Snorkeling – Swim 200 yds front crawl, tread water 5 minutes and supply own equipment.

Class size is limited to ensure proper student/teacher ratio.

Note: Swimmers must leave the water 15 minutes before closing time.
